Find Rest For Your Soul

A Word For New Believers

The life of a believer doesn’t protect you from spiritual warfare. Though you learn to put on the full armor of God and live as a follower of Yeshua. A choice that includes obeying his commands. From this point forward, your heart is turned toward YHWH. He lays the foundation, you build. This is the work of Saints that labor in the Kingdom of God.1 He is your refuge. HIS WILL BE DONE. In him you will have revelation. Although, walking in truth may sound easy, at times it can be challenging. Paul, one of the Lord’s most well known disciples, even struggled to deny his flesh. He explains: “The flesh desires what is contrary to the spirit.2” And yet, he was able to overcome. Be encouraged. Although you’ll make some tough choices in the future.

The ultimate battle against sin and death has already been won. God is doing a good work in you, even when you fall short of his will. In him you’re made whole.3 Through his power, you’ll be a faithful witness of his works. Though temptations arise which test your spiritual accountability, Yah provides a way to endure. He knows the trials you will face, and sent the Holy Spirit in his name. He discerns your thoughts, exposes your heart, and teaches ALL things.4 For once you understand the truth about your fleshly nature There’s no question that you were once lost, conforming to the world in rebellion. But degrading your character, only makes you feel worse. Remember, you found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

He already pleaded your cause, and cast away your sins.5  Now you’ve come full circle. You live a fasted life, laying your burdens down in prayer. Abiding in God is comforting. He is your everlasting foundation. Your new habit is to trust him. Our heavenly father is the cornerstone of everything you build. He upholds you, teaching you to war in spirit. As his character is nurtured in you, so does your hunger for righteousness. Old habits (that dishonor God) whither away, no longer controlling your life. You are a new creation, equipped with the armor of God.  Continue along this path, guarding your spiritual house. In him, there is rest for your soul (Jer 6:16).
